He equips His saints for the work of His Kingdom through the Five-Fold Ministry.
The Five-Fold Ministry is made up of Apostles, Prophets, Evangelists, Pastors and Teachers. (Ep. 4:11)
This is the hand of God upon planet earth.
The Apostle is the thumb which has control or is the overseer of the other four fingers or ministries, (2 Co. 12:12); The Prophet, The Evangelist, The Pastor and the Teacher.
The Prophet is known as the pointing finger giving direction to others from the Throneroom of God. The Prophet is also to Encourage, Edify, and Exhort the body of believers; and to stand in the gap for others at the leading of the Holy Spirit, and ask for God's mercy. (1 Co. 14:1-3, Eze. 22:30)
The Evangelist, is the third finger speaking truth from God and winning souls for the Kingdom to advance the plan of God and win souls for His Glory. For the Lord desires none shall perish and that all shall have eternal life!! (2 Ti. 4:2-5)
The Pastor the fourth finger, known as the shepherd of the flock to encourage, nurture and guard over the sheep. (Act. 20:28; 1 Ti. 3:2-5)
The Teacher is the the pinky finger which is small and can get into your ear and remove the clogs. The teacher disciples others in the Lord's truth and instructs us in the word of our God. Teachers are vital in our Spiritual growth, helping us to attain understanding as we receive the Word of the Lord into our minds. (1 Ti. 4:11-13)
